I believe one of our greatest hinderances is we receive what others are saying and information being put out there more than we are receiving the Word of God directly from the source of His Written word and not allowing the Word of God to shape us internally in to His image and delivering us from the image of man mortal the creature.
Our fault comes as we worship the creature and idolize the creature above the creator. The Father is the source, accessible through Christ Jesus alone. We praise the source and never the resource of man He uses and or endue with power from on high. We glorify Jesus and praise Jesus above all man. That which we give ourselves to most influences and shapes our person most.
We are individuals and yes we are to seek wise counsel and be taught truth, but nothing above the Master Christ our Lord.
Seek the Lord while he may be found
Call upon Him while He is near
Yes iron sharpens iron! But it is Christ that makes us the iron we are to be and not man. We must turn from our dependency and confidence in man and place it in The Word, Holy Spirit our teacher.
Being led astray is not an option and will never happen to the true body of Christ!
