Forgive and Forget

To Forgive is to allow the emotion of an offense; go

When you forgive someone, you are choosing to release them from their actions or lack thereof.

You are releasing them from the clutches of your mind that causes negative emotions.

Once you forgive you are then supposed to forget, believe it or not.

If I do not let the offense go, all the way down to forgetting it all together, when I see you,

I will remember, if I remember it is then easy to relive the offense, and simply put on a fake smile, while raging inside, or being hurt all over again.

We are to forgive and forget it all goes hand and hand.

Take no account of a suffered wrong.

Holding on to the memory of a wrong is us taking an account.

Forgetting those things that are behind and moving forward to that which is ahead.

Pressing toward the mark of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

That is the mind of a mature believer (Christian)

The Lord says, "Let us, as many as are mature, have this mind."

To be completely free of a thing we must forgive and forget, the act of forgetting reflects letting go, taking no account. Forgiving and forgetting leaves no room for the enemy to keep us bound.

We must then move forward to the things ahead. Pressing toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. In Jesus name amen

Philippians 3:13-16

Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead

I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Therefore, let us as many as are mature have this mind, and if anything, you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you. Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind.

Let us count everything of ourselves loss for the excellency of Christ, including the offenses! Forgive and forget so we are free to move forward in the upward call of Christ in Jesus name amen!
