To Whom Are You Yielding

Romans 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey, whether sin unto death or obedience unto righteousness?

When I read this scripture on yesterday, I stopped there. It drew me in and literally I wanted to cry. I had to ask myself what and who am I obeying through the whole day, not just in a moment? My lower-level self? Or my renewed self? knowing and believing I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! Am I shrinking in fear and disobeying God by not sharing through speaking, or am I being bold and courageous by moving and doing as the Holy Spirit leads?

See I desire to yield to Holy Spirit, so that I daily live as a servant of Christ. No longer a servant of sin leading to death, but I declare I am a yielded servant of obedience to the Lord unto righteousness.

This is how you find life in the word of God; through listening to what the word is saying. By silencing yourself to hear what the word of God is speaking. By allowing the word of God to cause you to pause and circle back. Seeking understanding!

For in the word of God it teaches us how to live. It is real! It is raw! The word of God is quick, powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword.

The word is there to expose the enemy within, to deliver us from the sin, lust, and desires we have that are not pure. As we allow the word of God to show us us; the word of God then comes in to love on us, to cleanse us, to give us new life through Christ by gifting us salvation, to deliver us. the word then builds us. He builds His solid foundation of life through Christ the Rock, our Rock; the Chief Cornerstone on the inside of us.

Through the word our mind is renewed, our perspective is transformed, and we see out of a clear glass! We have a clear view! The word of God is the living word and active. I encourage you to open your bible this day. To pray for understanding, wisdom, and knowledge. To pray that the word of God feeds you the manna you need, to provide you with nourishment, and your daily bread, and as you do pray for these things the Lord will freely give them to you. The Lord says in Matthew 7:7,8,11 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you. For everyone that ask receive, and he that seek findeth:and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. If ye then, being evil know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in Heaven give good things to them that ask?

What is that good thing? The Word itself is that good thing, and so many good things come from having the ultimate good thing, the word, living on the inside of us! The good thing that we can ask for from His word is the knowledge, understanding, wisdom, the spirit behind the word, the anointing of His word, the authority of His word, the power of his word, the life of His word to live in us, to move through us. To be the light of our eyes and the salt of our speech. To be our very countenance. To be our conviction, and our correction. This is the good thing we ask the Father for, we seek after, and we knock on the door of Heaven for, and Our Abba Father will give in Jesus name amen.

We need the seal and security of the Holy spirit with evidence of tongue to draw our strength from the Father. To communicate with the Lord in the name of Jesus we need Holy Spirit alive, active, leading us, guiding us, speaking to us what He hear the Father speak in the name of Jesus amen. The spirit of the Lord helps our infirmities and intercede for us with groanings=, with words that cannot be uttered.

So, as I end todays blog, I want to remind you that who and what you obey is whom you yield yourself servant to whether it is sin unto death or obedience unto righteousness.

I leave you with these questions:

who are you obeying?

Are you obeying fear this day?

Are you obeying doubt this day?

Are you obeying sin this day?

Are you obeying your familiar nature?

Are you obeying the old you?

Let us take a moment and ponder on this scripture today and ask ourselves these questions

What and who am I obeying?

It is so important to study the word of God so we can hear Him, so we can get to know Him, and learn what to obey.

Be encouraged this very day! In Jesus name amen
