“Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope in God: For I shall yet praise him, Who is the health of my countenance, and my God.”
Psalm 43:5 KJV
It is imperative that we speak to ourselves. However, it is not simply speaking to and into ourselves that is important. It truly comes down to what we are speaking within that matters most.
There is life and death in the power of our tongue. What that means ~ depending upon what you are speaking, it will shape how you feel, it shapes your belief, and determines the outcome of your life.
As I read God's word below I was reminded we have to tell ourselves what to think, what to believe, and what we will do. We are created to dominate and control our opposing nature. The parts of us that gets discouraged and or feel defeated. The part of us that would rather reject God, His Son, Holy Spirit and His wisdom.

As David was an example here in scripture; we must follow his example and command ourselves to:
HOPE IN GOD
COMMAND OURSELVES AND EVERYTHING WITHIN THAT HAS EXALTED ITSELF AGAINST THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD; tell those very feelings, "I will yet praise Him" for God alone is the health of my countenance in Jesus name amen
TO PROPEL FORWARD WE MUST SPEAK LIFE INTO OURSELVES. INCREASE OUR FAITH THROUGH THE WORD OF GOD!
TELL OURSELVES TO HOPE IN GOD! For there is no other hope that will produce life and life more abundantly. Jesus has come that we may have life and have life more abundantly!
